New data center coming to Storey County.

STOREY COUNTY, Nev. (KOLO) – A new data center will be coming to Storey County that plans to invest more than $254 million into the area.

The Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development has approved Vantage Data Centers to receive $19.2 million in tax abatements.

The company, founded in Nevada this past September, plans to build the center that will likely house one or two tenants. They plan to create around 10 jobs within five years at an average hourly wage of $64. Vantage Data Centers also says they will generate $76 million in new tax revenues over a 10-year period.
