Dongyang, a subsidiary of Eugene Group, will enter the urban artificial intelligence (AI) data center development project. Through this, the plan is to leap into an infrastructure platform company in earnest.
On the 14th, Dongyang announced its plan to build AI data centers in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, and Namdong-gu, Incheon. Construction of both sites will begin in the first half of this year and aim to be completed by 2028.
The AI data center, which will be built in Samjeong-dong, Bucheon-si, will have a land area of 3593㎡, with two basement floors and four ground floors, a total floor area of 17,36㎡, and a power usage capacity of about 9.8MW. An integrated design optimized for the AI computational environment was applied, and the stability of power supply and demand and operational efficiency were the key criteria.
Dongyang plans to operate the Samjeong-dong AI data center and use it as a standard model for expanding data centers in the metropolitan area and major bases in the future. To this end, Dongyang comprehensively reviewed the developer DC platform with experience in data center investment and development projects and the marketability, operability, and scalability of the project.
In Guwol-dong, Namdong-gu, the “Incheon Guwol AI Hub Center” will be established with a land area of 2016㎡, two basement floors to nine ground floors, and a total floor area of 18,39㎡. It is designed as an urban and office-expanded AI data center. Based on urban accessibility and ultra-low latency system environment, it is designed to serve as the headquarters of the base-type data center network that Dongyang will build in the future.
Dongyang designed AI data centers in Samjeong-dong and Guwol-dong into one integrated digital infrastructure structure. Although they are physically located in different locations, they work like an infrastructure in terms of network configuration and data flow.
