We are glad to share the news about our upcoming datacenter project in Munich. Precisely located in Unterschleißheim, a few kms from Munich City Center, this datacenter will come with an expected 30MVA connection to the grid.
Developed by Data Center Partners, this data center project is designed to power up Southern Germany with additional compute power.
Currently under development, phase 1 of the project is looking at an RFS Ready for Service date mid-2027 with some 8MW of IT-load.
Key Benefits for AI and High-Performance Computing:
✔️ AI-Ready Infrastructure: cutting edge hybrid cooling concept with combined water cooling & air cooling, designed to handle the extreme computational power of AI and machine learning workloads demand, whilst managing classic IT load densities where required.
✔️ Planned 30 MVA total power connection to the grid: ensuring consistent, reliable performance for even the most power-hungry applications. Targeting a Tier III redundancy level conform to the Uptime Institute’s strict guidelines.
✔️Designed with 17 MW of total IT load with scalable power density to support from standard to high-density needs.
✔️ At full speed, this will be over 6.000m2 of IT space over 3 floors. The site will also offer sufficient office space, storage and staging space.
✔️ ESG Centric, starting with the “E”: the targeted PUE is 1.2. Maximizing energy efficiency and minimizing operational costs.
✔️Norms and Certification: targeting a Tier III redundancy level conform to the Uptime Institute’s strict guidelines, the project is also designed to reach an EN50600 VK3 & a LEED certification.
✔️ The site will offer top notch connectivity thanks to the proximity of top German and global telco operators, whilst staying carrier neutral. Of course with redundant MMR Meet-Me-Rooms.
