Cryptocurrency company Revolve Labs Plans AI Data Center in Minnesota.

According to Odaily, Bitcoin mining hosting provider Revolve Labs is planning to establish an artificial intelligence (AI) data center in central Minnesota. This decision follows the withdrawal of a previous proposal to expand mining operations due to community opposition. In September, Revolve Labs held a meeting with the Glencoe Economic Development Authority to discuss plans for expanding its facilities in the city to accommodate one or two AI data centers, along with cooling systems and backup generators.

The project is expected to have a capacity of 10 megawatts, employ approximately 10 people, and cost between $40 million and $60 million. As part of the proposal, Revolve Labs intends to purchase two parcels of land totaling 6.2 acres and construct a substation for the expansion. Currently, Revolve Labs operates a Bitcoin mining facility in Glencoe with a capacity of around 20 megawatts and a hash rate of 537 PH/s. Last month, the company attempted to increase its mining capacity in Winton, Minnesota, but withdrew the application following community opposition due to noise concerns.
