Alibaba Cloud – No Property Losses in Fire at Heyuan Data Center – No Impact on Cloud Services
In the general contractor construction process, a park under construction in Heyuan (not put into production) generated high temperature iron slag due to cutting at 2:43 pm yesterday (9th), causing several pieces of extruded polystyrene board outside the building to catch fire and heavy smoke, according to Alibaba Cloud.
The fire was extinguished with fire hose in about 10 minutes without causing any casualties or property damage.
The park under construction is relatively far away from the production area, and the incident has not caused any impact on cloud services, the Company added.
